event. Fact and/or opinion,no haters..? So here's the thing, limewire's gone,so will another similar application *cough*torrent, G help us, it's happening,and it's frightening, here's what i think it is :

fact 1 : music is commodity, and Americans, as one of the largest and best producer of it, lost billions of dollar export money each year from user-friendly p2p application such as limewire.

fact 2 : nobody can denied freedom of information in this digital era, including music, they're just another byte in your hard disk anyway.

opinion 1 : Americans should be happy that limewire is gone, thus they gain a bit advantage over piracy that broke flat their recording industry, and with that, their tax income.

opinion 2 : everybody loves music, yet not everybody can/wont afford it,including Americans, this raid is the worst thing that happens to our bit of luxury, when everywhere life's is getting harder, except for the successful musician,we need our money more than they do.

suggestion 1 : musicians and artist should have worked harder with their time to go on tour and stuff that makes money, not just sitting around waiting for money from record sales and partying around, time's changing,so does how things work.

suggestion 2 : limewire should have moved to another country, where the court decision doesn't apply and they can resume whatever they were doing and be proud of it.

the debate is about freedom vs. money and control, and limewire is a very good down to earth case. feel free too contradict/support my statement above, or add another fact/opinion/suggestion as long as it makes sense, no politic, Obama, or religious s**t. the event will be held in a month or so, it's local nonprofit event,so don't expect any money, but Yahoo.A. and your answers will be credited if we ever (and will) use it as a material.

and oh yeah, Thx in advance for your contribution.
