I am a Care Worker in Palliative Care and have in recent months been caring for people with tracheostomies and throat cancer. Many of these residents have been unable to talk and I have been forced to try and lip read, or if I can still not understand I often ask them to write down what they are trying to say.

I have actually started to pick up on lip reading (it's amazing how quickly you can catch on) but I would love to know any good courses, DVD's or books that could aid me in my learning.

Can anybody recommend any?.

.
Thank you Chris, that is very much appreciated!.

Mr Fish-
My cousin is a professor that teaches that at New York University- Roch.
He's been deaf since age 6 and has taught me a few tricks.
I'll contact him and get back at you or pass along your e-addy.
