Literature. I need help making up a story for my literature class. Please help!?

okay so I have to write a 300 word short story for my literature class involving at least two random unknown people of whom lived in the time of the great depression and these two random people found themselves in a restaurant in the 21st century one day. I need help starting off the story. I want it to seem interesting! any ideas on how to start it off?

If theyre come stright away from poor konditions and food shortness theyre most likely gonna grasp over all the wounders off the reasturant not to mention eating the entire meny. Could be a great entreance of comparing theyre time to current one. Johan.

Perhaps the two could have met online or something (although they must be quite old). They could realise that as children they went to the same school.
