Longboard Trucks Questions?

I am building a 6 foot 8 longboard skateboard and would like to know what trucks would be most effective for some surfing oriented carving on it. I have a pair of 10" Gull Wing Chargers on a five foot deck and wanted to know if those would work on the six eight board. Are there any sort of trucks that would work for this sort of board that are under $70?
