Why only four Test Matches?, more particularly, why no 'Gabba Test?

Granted, the Tri-series with SL is a major plus, but two pointless t .2o games and no 'Gabba Test?, seriously sh!t.
@Moorthy, A dustbowl?, the 'Gabba? More like an early season 'Gabba greentop scares the life out of India.
Maybe we can have Bucky just for the Sydney Test.

Gabba is excluded as the Aussies do not want to be caught in their own dust bowl.
@Neil: Australians are praying for the return of Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson.

I have no doubt BCCI are behind it.In their tiny minds it is going to advantage them some how.You can't see it and neither can I ,but then we don't think like indians.

What do mean 'only' 4 matches they havent played more than that since the Allan Border era a couple of decades ago, the Gabba Test starts on December 1 against New Zealand you cant expect one team to play at every single venue they would have to tour for at least 3 months to manage that, i agree with your point that playing 2 t20 games is pointless, nobody is going to remember the result of a 'series' that is played in the space of only 48 hours

4 test series seem to be the norm between India and Aussie. They played it last time India came over and then the return series in India a year later so somebody has to miss out.

Do you think Bucknor would come out of retirement for this series? That would really piss off the Indians

I expect India to be still wobbly after the English debacle. No Gabba test is puzzling as there is nearly always a favourable result there.
