how much is too much when lowering my car? i have a 2000 civic ex 2dr and i want to lower it but i still want to be able to drive it over speed bumps ect..i also am planning on putting a lip kit on it before the suspension. im also concerned about rim size with the suspension.
 
3/4 -1 inch drop should be just fine w/o sacrificing drivability.

Putting a lip will obviously make the front end have less clearance so you will probably have scraping there.

You should first get the wheels you want then do the drop. you could probably do better this way since you would already know how much of a gap you will have with your new wheels and you can decide on how big of a drop from there

If you want to lower it/slam it alot, save your money for airbags.
