Hello all, could someone help. Every time I put in a DVD-RDL Dual Layer 8.5GB 4X into my MacBook, it spits it out. I don’t know why. I try other normal DVDs and DVD movies and it reads them fine. I want to put some big files on the dual layer DVDs. I thought it was just one bad one in the bunch, but alas not. it has happened with two others. When I put the dual layer DVDs in other Windows PCs, those PCs read them. am I doing something wrong? Please advise. Thanks in advance. AQ

if it's spits out the disc it's because of the 2 things. very common it doesn't like that brand of disc because of the type of lens they use so i would try a more reparable brand like Verbatim, Fuji etc..
Try burning a regular dvd just to make sure that the drive is not defective if that spits out as well then it's your superdrive.

good luck hope that helps

According to the Apple website, they should work. Give them a call or try their online tech support.
