Okay, so I'm new to DivX (and Macs, kinda sorta) and I recently installed the free download version of DivX for Mac. I may be missing something entirely too simple here, but when I try to play a file with the DivX player (specifically an .avi file, which I've tried to convert to .divx but the converter freezes halfway through...separate issue) NOTHING PLAYS. I just get the advertising stuff in the player window. Can someone please help me get my DivX player to work???
