ok so I have a clarion stereo that does not have Bluetooth connectivity. It does, however, have a USB drive so I can plug in a USB and play directly from my USB memory device. So my question is, can I just buy a USB Bluetooth adapter like the non-Bluetooth computers use? You know the ones that give your computer Bluetooth capability through USB. I was thinking of buying one and connecting it to my usb slot on my stereo and then just pairing the device to my cellphone and stream music.

Has anyone done this? Is there other ways besides buying a new bluetooth capable stereo?

Thanks for your time

You can't just stick a bluetooth dongle in there and expect the HU to recognize it.
BT dongle's for a computer have drivers so they're able to recognize and read what's coming in.

I would think there's some kind of adapter that has some sort of processor that reads the bluetooth data before transmitting it via usb, but I haven't looked for one.

The PAC accessory feeds it through your car's FM receiver, not the USB port.
