well im writing a story for my lit class and i forget how to make it look like someone is interrupting my character.

could you please give me the keys i need to press on the keyboard as well.......

You could do it like this,"So I was walking down the street and..."
or
"So I was walking down the street and-"

Bobby was saying, "Then that guy totally rammed into me while I-"
"Oh my gosh, can you believe it? I hit another parked car," Kate said, interrupting him.

It's a hyphen.

You just use this symbol: -

Here's an example of how to use it:

"Hi, my name is Ash-"
"I don't care what your name is. Leave me alone."

On my keyboard I have to hold down "shift" and press the key with the underscore and dash on it. I'm not sure if that will be the same as yours.

I'm pretty sure that is right. Hope it helps :).
