Malicious calls on my cell phone--how to stop it?

I am currently getting malicious calls and texts sent to my cell phone and I don't know who this person is. Sometimes the messages left are just silly things, but other times, they are downright rude and inappropriate. I am sick of these calls and messages, so how do I locate their cell phone number and get this weirdo to stop?
 
Call your cell phone company. If the number is not Private they should be able to help you.
