MAP Snowboarding

Thought the site might be useful for anyone thinking about it:

http://www.xscape.co.uk/snow/milton-keynes/?PHPSESSID=4d66146d5b6534f30924f1d704812dcb

That's the Milton Keynes one

Ah okay, thanks a lot dude. If I can afford it, then I'll come. Any word on how much it might be aegis?

£27 for beginners 1 hour group lesson Akasha. That's probably what I'll be looking at

Well, the usual rates would be £31 for 2 hours including board, boots and bindings hire. The more of us that go the more we can presumably get off that cost!

I just couldnt tell if it was a boy one or a girl one cause it was all wrapped up in ski gear! It was about knee high!

I've never done snowboarding or ski-ing (take me to the Canaries, I'm a sun worshipper!) but I'm so up for this that I'm more up than a helium balloon at a chav wedding

I guess I'd need a lesson or twelvety-five so I don't break a leg and get dragged of to the A&E before the socialising - just let me know where to send the cheque!

Hey, my name came up in a thread in a good way!

Let me know a date, and I'll see about getting there. Saturday trains shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm as useless at organising as I was at boarding, so I doubt I'll be able to help, but if this gets off the ground, hopefully I'll be able to see you all there!

Ok, quick update.

I sent an e-mail. It failed to get the the address on their site! I shall try again at lunch tomorrow. In the meantime, please continue to post here if you're interested. I'll be asking for the availability of the 2 middle weekends of November (11th or the 18th), so if people can indicate preference that would be great.

Well, I should be going but I'll be sitting in the pub above the ski slope, with a camera.

Ok - you cover that - I'll go sit in the pub across the road from Casualty

With my camera

Update:

Prices are reduced by 20% for recreational boarders if 10 or more book at once. For anyone with worse maths skills than Saz (sorry Saz!) that means that once we get to double figures, it's a 5 for the price of 4 offer. Or £24.80 for 2 hours instead of £31. Good deal, but we need more people that can actually board already! Or ski...

Lesson prices can't be reduced unfortunately, and slots are already being booked, so I will try to book slots for 11:30am on the 18th of November for lessons within the next few days if I can have confirmation.

As such, anyone wanting a skiing or boarding lesson, absolute beginner, please state clearly below this post.

To confirm again, we're looking at the 18th of November and would need to be there by about 11am at the latest!
