Middle-Aged Lady in a Muscle Car?

It's a long story why I have it, but it's a beautiful '88 Mustang (last of the big motors, they tell me), and I want to drive it.

HOWEVER, I was over 30 when I got my first driver's license, and I'm still a pretty timid driver. Live in the mountains (2-lane highways, twists & turns, etc.)

I'm afraid it'll be too powerful for me to drive, and it'll get away from me (like walking a St. Bernard!), or that people will laugh at me, or ....

Is there special training I could take, or is it too late?
 
just remember, you control the car. you may not have control over the gas pedal at first, but you will have ample amounts over the brake. until you get used to the car, only drive it when the streets are dry. drive it short distances at first too. i work with beautiful muscle cars everyday and absolutely love them! have fun with it and be that sexy mama! :)
