Mitsubishi Eclipse car any good?

I love how the mitsubishi eclipse car looks specially the 2007 GS or GX in black looks. I really want this car to be my first car but my family has doubts in this car specially my brother. I was hoping to get some answers from ppl who actually have it to tell me if its worth the argument. Oh and also i would like to know how much my parents 21st century insurance would go up for just having this coupe car, specially since im a teen

I've heard mixed reviews on Mitsubishis. My Grandpa and Dad hate them because they are extremely difficult to work on. But they can last a long time if they are taken good care of. Bottom line. I would only recommend buying one if you plan on taking very good care of it (changing oil, timing belts, etc.). I would also warn you about the cost to fix something compared to other cars since they are so hard to work on. For the insurance, it all depends where you live and how common the car is. Plus you can get a discount for being a good student (if you're still in school).
