are there any connections or symbols you seen when comparing modern day and The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens? unlike the obvious ones....for ex: tiny tim and the deserving poor we see today, Scrooge representing the government, or even something little about how a woman (like Belle) was expected to bring in a dowry or part of her family's wealth into a marriage just like the parents of the bride today are expected to pay for the wedding. i read the boook im just havign trouble finding something.
