More information on my Sci-Fi Book!?

I've decided the name of my book will be the name of the planet it is located on, Cliexissa. The main characters will be Astro and Andromeda, and the rest of the listed characters will be their Neighbors/friends/enemies/teachers/etc. If you have any suggestions, or questions, feel free to put them in the comments. The character names you mention are very poor. The Jetsons' dog comes to mind with Astro, and naming a character Andromeda sucks. Will her mother be Cassiopeia, her father Cepheus, bf Perseus? A belly button called M31? As a reader I would gag. If she's human give her a name with fewer predetermined associations, and if not human call her Mfqrgl. Asimov used to take a regular name and change it a bit for his far future stories.

Look for the book on novel writing by Orson Scott Card. It was in our library, & I checked it out years ago & read some of it in the 80's or 90's. Looked pretty good & especially useful. Since he writes science fiction & fantasy, it might be the best thing for you.
