Motorola Cliq Camera Force Close?

My motorola cliq keeps having this force close option pop up. When I try to use the camera application, the screen is black. I've tried master reset and turning everything off. The issue could possibly reside that my phone is a demo because when I turn the phone on, it says "Demo- For Retail Use Only" Could that possibly be the problem?
