Motorola Defy Digitizer Replacement and upgrade to 2.2 Froyo?

Has anyone replaced a digitizer on there Motorola Defy Mb525? If so, is it similar to replacing it on an iPod touch or iPhone?

Also, has anyone updated there Motorola defy to 2.2 froyo? I found this website, but I was just wondering if anyone has done it, and if so, how did they do it.
