Motorola razor v3 at&t options for faster texting?

I've had the Motorola razor v3 for at&t for quite a while now. My friends have options on their phones that doesn't highlight the letter as u text it for faster texting. If anyone has the same phone for at&t and now what the settings would be i would be really grateful.
