Hey there,

I have just bought a new bike and assembled it......
I put on the front wheel [quick release] and it seems that the indide pad of the disk brake is always touching the disk. Even when the wheel is in without tightening the quick release it does it, but after tighening the wheel its twice as bad [ wheel can barely even turn let alone spin]
Ive played only a little with the adjusters on the brake and cant seem to sort it.
Any ideas?

many thanks in advance

It should be possible to adjust the position of the wheel and the discs, but it sounds as if you need to take the bike to a reputable cycle shop to get it checked out. They will probably be able to adjust it an a matter of minutes. You don't want to risk damaging a new bike by a botched DIY job. It's hard to be more specific without more information. For example, are the brakes hydraulic or cable?
