You can ask the people who hold your car note to revise your title to your new address. But you would have to ask fast because once it is already sent out , your going to just have to go to your new state's DVM.The only thing this does is prove to them you have no lien-holder any more on the vehicle. In my state of California this is a real righteous pain. You need a smog certificate a new driver's license and insurance and need to pay use tax. This is a long arduous expensive process and I recommend that people just sell their car before coming to this one. We have only 10 days to report your address change now and your likely going to have to spend an entire day there and probably going to have to come back on another one. Appointments are over a month away and if your pulled over without your address change on your license your looking at a $300 fine. You have the title with the lien holder removed? Better make sure. You may have to go back to your state's DMV to get them to give you one that's free and clear.
