My 1969 gmc truck will not crank. I replaced timing chain and gear, rotor button,?

plugs, checked the firing order still it will not crank.
It will turn over but will not start. there is fire on every plug.

The only parts involved in cranking the engine are the battery, starter, starter selenoid, ignition switch, and the relevant wiring.

Check to see if you are getting gas to the carb. Pour a little gas in the carb and try to start it. Your fuel pump could be out. You might have to re-check the timing chain just to make sure.

When you say it will not crank, you mean it won't turn over, or it won't start? The term crank is usually used to refer to the starter turning the engine over to start it. If you mean the engine won't start, that could be caused by a lot of things. You have to identify the problem, not just install random parts.

If it's turning over, it's cranking. Do you mean firing? Check to see if it has compression. if it does, pour a little gas in the carb.

You most likely have a dead battery if your truck is not cranking. Either that or the engine is seized.
