I am the proud owner of a problematic Nissan 720 pickup. Recently it has developed a weird problem. On the way down the road (all of this happens in the time span of about 5 seconds) the gas pedal starts to become unresponsive. It still has a little power to pull itself but barley. Then the truck just gives out and quits. I come to a stop and after turning the ignition over for about 3 or 4 seconds it starts up again and runs like a charm. Only to do the same thing again in another 6-9 miles. Anyone know whats wrong?

I had the same problem with an 83 Nissan truck. It ended up being a throttle sensor on the carburator. It was a $15 fix and easy to replace, but that was 15 or so years ago so I dont recall the exact name of the sensor.
