my 5 year old son met his dad, and he loved him...why?

since he met his dad all he wants to do is talk and go out with him and his fiancé. After all this year this guy never bothered to visit. Suddenly I sent him to child support and here he is, being nice with steve. my son always wanted a daddy but...is not fair, how can he like him already when he hurt me so much and even abandon us? Am I being selfish? So far he is being an awesome dad. But I can’t stop regretting sending him to child support.
