there is no fire at the fuel pump fuse at the fire wall but the fuse was changed out which was good

You mention the fuse, check both sides of it with a test light. Should be fire on both, if not replace it.

Turn switch on and listen for fuel pump to run. If no, check the plug just before the tank for power.

If fuel pump runs, take line loose at filter. If no fuel or just a little trickle, fuel pump bad. (Catch the fuel in jug or drain pan)

If good fuel at filter, disconnect line from throttle body and see if any flow. If not, change filter and check for collapsed line.

If good flow at throttle body, look down into it and work the throttle. If you cant see the jets squirting, they are blocked or defective. Replace.

turn it on and see if you can hear the fuel pump running? This is where to start.
