My acer 5315 laptop dvd drive won't play?

So I have the Sims 2 game, & whenever I put the disc in, it says theres no disc in. Ive constantly tried to figure out whats the problem & I have no idea. Ive backed up & retored my things . but nothing. Can some PLEASE help !
