my bike will not idel without the choke on?

so i just bot a bike that has been sitting for a few months. it is a 1984 Honda 500f interceptor. it starts fine and everything but it will not idle without the choke. i have left it idling for 20 minutes a few times, i have ridden it and then slowly turned the choke off and when i stop it dies. any advise will be much appropriated. i am in college and don't have a lot of money to put into it.

Your jets on the Carb are clogged. This happens when I bike sits. The carburetor needs to be taken apart and cleaned. To keep this from happening in the future rid more often :)
