My Boyfriend Had a premonition about me killing myself. What should we do?

My boyfriend and I have been in a serious relationship for quite some time now. He's in the Military and will be leaving in august or september for training. He will be gone for about 2 years. We planned on me going with him but he decided that wasn't the right decision because he would never be around and he didn't want drag me across the world with him just to be alone. Even though i don't agree with his decision, i have no choice to accept it. Then he tells me that we need to break up. He says since he's about to leave, he doesn't want to add more fuel to the fire. He then told me that he had a premonition that when he left, i was so depressed that i tried to commit suicide. He tells me that he loves me, but the only way he can try and keep that from happening is for us not to be together. Since we broke up, he still comes over, texts me, calls me, and we still have sex. Do you think he still wants to be with me? or that he only broke up because he didn't want to have a commitment before he leaves? honest answers only!! also, could you give me some advice on why he might of had that premonition, should him and i talk to a pastor, and pray about it? i really don't want to lose him!
