My computer will no longer play any audio with divx or itunes. Can you help me?

Its worked fine all this time but then yesterday i tried playing a Divx movie and it told me i need to download a directshow audio decoder in order to hear anything. itunes tells me theres something wrong with my audio configuration. i have no idea what to do.

hi tyler, go to system tools and do a system restore then if that does not work then go to add/remove or programs&features scrol down to the sound you have and uninstall it completely then reboot(restart) your computer then place your diskett in the dvd burner and reinstall. if you do not have any sound then your problem is that your audio card went out so take your computer tower to a computer repairman and tell him that your audio card went out and tell him that... if you have more than two speakers then you want a soundblaster wifi extreme sound card or a soundblaster titanium sound card installed. now if you have only two speakers then spend some money and do it right and upgrade your speakers system and i will tell you why. you are ready to hear sound that the artist when you listen to music will be in the same room that you are at with crystal clearity, trust on this one. but now this is important place the speakers evenly around you and get ready for an experience that you will tell others about so you will be a witness to some real groovy tunes. good luck hope i was helpful to you
