I have a 7 month Bichon Frise and he just got neuteured 2 day ago. He still acts like himself, eat, drinks, and poos but the only problem is that he won't urinate and when you make him walk he walks only about 2 steps and them he sits back down again. Is this normal ?

My 7yr. old Cocker Spaniel got neutered 2 weeks ago. He was in pain so he didn't poop for 6 days, and he only peed once per day, very long pees. He was eating normal but not drinking water.

I think it's okay for 2 days maybe he doesn't pee because he is in pain or he is scared. But if he is drinking water he is supposed to pee. Is he wearing the e-collar? Most dogs won't do anything when wearing it like my dog so I used to remove it to take him out and put it back after his walk. If he is still like that tomorrow you should definitely call your vet and ask if this is normal, I hope that he recovers soon.

I would give the vet a quick call and ask. He could be in pain - or maybe has a slight infection.

There a a few reasons why he may not be urinating. The best thing to do is to take your boy back to the vet and have a follow up. As this will more than likely be a complication due to surgery it won't cost you anything. Just make a phone call. Don't waste anymore time as no urine is a bad thing for your pup.
