my dogs hip hurts what asprin to give?

if your dog is in enough pain that you feel he needs pain relievers, then he needs to see a vet.

Many human medications are TOXIC to dogs.. do not medicate without consulting a vet first.

no tylenol.
you can call your vet to ask how much of a buffered asprin to give but only for a day or two. it does horrible things if taken too often. they need to be given a pain management/ anti inflammatory made for dogs i.e.:
rimadyl
previcox
deramaxx
and you will have to get these from a vet.

Tylenol & ibuprofen are toxic to dogs, aspirin can be dangerous for some pets. Never give your dog anything without first speaking to your vet. If the dog's in enough pain to need pain killers, it is in enough pain to need to see the vet.

You can give Buffered aspirin. The dosage is 5-10 mg. per lb. every 12 hours. Give it with food.
