...I fix it? I am using a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850S ATA DVD/CDROM Drive in a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop.

The drive has stopped functioning on WIN7 Pro. The Device Driver status states: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).

How can I fix this problem?
I have already tried uninstalling & reinstalling the driver, without success, and no update for the driver can be found by Windows online (that could have been used to overwrite the issue).

Update the driver. Go back to the device manager, go to the DVD Drive then go to the driver. Choose to update and let Windows locate the correct driver.
