my eye hurts can anyone help?

so last night i was taking a shower and i felt like i had something in my eye,after i got out of the shower i checked and there was nothing..i even rinsed out my eye and had my mom check it but theres nothing there..it feels like theres something there but anyways all day long my eye's been teary and irritating me.help
