Its just something some kids do. My little one is 9 months and she screams and shouts all day long-sometimes cause she's cross but most of the time as that what babies do.

From 8-14 months babies take a leap in their speech development and scream and shout. They like the vibrations in their throats and the sound and clearly your grandson is loving the attention it is getting him.

If you give it too much attention it'll happen much more. If he's doing it for a while, distract him and he should move on.

The best thing to do is I-G-N-O-R-E or take it with a sense of humor. When he did it first time he definitely got a lot of reaction and attention. Thats the reason for repeated behavior. You can also try to take his attention off screaming to something else when he is doing it, like showing another trick while completely overhearing the scream. Do not worry - kids do copy each other but then again they have short memory span and the action can easily be replaced by something else with something less harsh on ears. Good Luck!!

Try to be non reactive, hes doing it because he sees people react, Even negative attention is attention, either that or put him in a less annoying place and say "Ouch hurts my ears, You can scream in here if you want." However ignoring it going to probably work best at this age. Once it becomes boring hell stop.
