my internet explorer has stopped working, since i ran a registry cleaner free trial.?

when i open internet explorer now, all i get is a message saying, internet explorer cannot display the webpage.
I also have spysweeper installed, an it can no longer update any new information.
What have i done? and how can I fix it.
