unlock on 4.0.1 how do i do it? I have and MC model
the baseband is on 5.13.04
can you also recommend what ios version i should upgrade to
Will it erase my apps
if so how do I backup my iphone apps (including the ones from cydia)
Will it update my baseband
I was told not to update my itunes version so I have not downloaded the latest version of itunes on my laptop. will updating it allow me to sync to the newest version of itunes?

You will most likely not be able to save your cydia apps, and most likely will not be able to update without updating to itunes 10.0.1.
