My iPhone, new computer which means different iTunes? Deleate apps?

Ok I have a 3gs and i had my Iphone backed up on iTunes and registered or what ever it is on my pc... I recently got rid of my pc because it was getting old and bought a laptop. Now that the new software ios4.0 is comming out on the 21st I wanted to get it but I have yet to get iTunes on my new laptop yet and my question is if I hook my iPhone up to iTunes on my new comp will it deleate all my apps or will everything be ok?
The last time I backed it up my apps were completely different

Everything will be ok. Your apps are saved to your itunes account, once you log on to your itunes account after you download everything will re download and it'll all be good!

Well, the iPhone only allows you to sync to one iTunes. So if you sync to a new iTunes then it will likely erase the apps.
BUT, before you sync, connect iPhone to iTunes, authorize the computer with your iTunes account, then transfer purchases. That way, iTunes will detect all/most existing apps and other files from your iPhone and transfer it to your iTunes. So then when you sync it, your app will be on your iTunes. Also, it will automatically backup your iPhone.
