My mercedes dim lights dont work!?

They btoh went off at the same time, and wont come back on. The brights work, as do the turn signals on my 1995 c280. we put new bulbs in on both sides today and still nothing, and we checked all the fuses and they were fine. what can we do to fix this? could it be wireing? please help!
