My mom is going on vacation soon and I'm gonna miss her.?

My mom's mom is going into surgery in November. She lives in the Philippines. So my mom is going there for 2 weeks. And she goes back almost every year. And I always miss her so much that I wanna cry. I know that sounds lame. But It wouldn't be AS bad if my dad went with her. He is always an ass when my mom isn't around. I don't want her to go. It's always harder when she's not around. :\ So what do I do? And how can my family convince my dad to go with her?
 
I understand how you feel, this is kind of pathetic i know i'm 25, and my mom's going to visit her mom overseas for about 20 days, and i already miss her, she's only leaving day after tomorrow. I used to have alot of friends, and then i kind of became an anti social and i don't have any friends to hangout with now. The only people in my life i see are my girlfriend and my mom, and i work from home. Anyway i can relate to your problem even though our problems are somewhat different but i can relate to how you feel about your mom leaving. I guess the way to convince your dad into going along would be to be completely open and honest if you haven't already.
