I'm 16 and live at home. Every time I say "mum", and then try to talk to her about something, or ask her how her day was, or what she's planning to make for dinner... she either sighs really loudly, or walks away, or shuts the door.. or even says "For f**k's sake!"
She always makes it clear she doesn't want to talk to me, no matter what it's about. It doesn't matter what time I pick to talk to her, she's always apparently too busy to chat.
Should I just give up? She's my mum, and I do want to be able to talk to her -- but she makes it clear that I can't. If I do, she doesn't reply. Advice, please? She says I need to grow up and stop asking her to help with everything... I didn't realise that asking how someone's day was was out of order for a 16 year old!
