My parents won't let me quit karate?

I've been in karate for over six months now and I never liked it since day one. I beg everyday not to go but my mother and father force me to. I'm not very good at it, and I move at a much slower pace than anyone else in the class. I feel like I'm not really learning anything because right when I get home after class I forget nearly everything I have learned that day, and because I feel like I will never even be able to use it to defend myself. How can I convince my parents to let me quit?

I see, you see parents WANT their kids to get active. It gives them confidence and a great experience. First, find a different passion to pursue(surfing, basketball, football, etc.). Then tell your parents you like this better(don't lie to yourself because they will most likely push to towards that sport). Ask them nicely that you would rather do ___________ then karate. I was in a tutoring thing I didn't like. I asked my parents to please stop and let me have MY choice. It's like a class. When you like it time passes by and you learn. But if you don't you barely pay attention. Good Luck and God Bless!
