My psp wont turn off!Help! please?

I tried to remove the battery but when I remove it The psp turns off but when I put it back The psp automatically turns on and shows a black screen how to I fix this I need to play Help!!!!

first if you have a game inside remove it then remove the batteries and wait 10 minutes or more and insert the batteries wait for the results if it doesn't work take it to a professional it might have something to do with the Psp itself

You see the slidy button on the side. Push it up and hold it there. I think that restarts it.
