My samsung corby plus can't play Mp4 format?

When I'm recording videos on my phone, it's output format is .mp4, but when I transfer .mp4 files on my phone and play it, it says not supported content. How come? Or is there any other way I can play .mp4 files on my phone? (cause .3gp file has bad quality)
