Is there any way for me to be able to set an MP3 File higher than 300 KB to be a ringtone for my Samsung-A887?
It's a Samsung-A887 Solstice phone. The information on this page:
http://www.att-phones.org/att-samsung-solstice-tip-bypass-the-300kb-limit-on-ringtones.html
would have been really helpful, but then, I use a Mac, so the Samsung PC-Studio would not be compatible with my computer.
I've been trying to be able to set the ringtones I like, but they are just too big a file (maximum is 300 KB), I've even shortened them to 15 seconds and even 8 seconds!!- but still, my phone gives out a disclaimer stating that "The file is too large to set as a ringtone".
Ohh no.
THE PHONE IS A HYPOCRITE BECAUSE IT'S OWN DEFAULT FILES OF RINGTONES ARE WAAAAY LARGER THAN 300 KB! Excuse me! They are practically considered SONGS! So why doesn't it permit that I set a 15 Second tone to be a ringtone?!?!

Thank You for helping me!
