My sony ericsson spiro wont let me send text messages?

Last night i was texting away and then it wouldnt let me go back to the main menu and i kept trying to turn it off and it took about 5 minutes then it went off and when i switched it back on i tried to text and it wouldnt let me, everytime i goto write new message i hit send and it takes me back to the home screen and dosent send, does anyone know how to fix this as i only bought the phone a few days ago...
Also if someone texts me it just says 'message corrupt'
 
I have the same problem, I think I'll just take it back to the store and ask my money back :p
