My Sony Ericsson Xperia play screen will not turn on if i press the power button!!!!?

My Xperia play screen wont turn on, and i need to know a way to fix it, without telling my mom!
If I press the power button it will not do anything! HELP!!
 
can you pull out the battery on those? if so i would try that first. if that fails contact sony for help.
