i was driving along and my sub stopped playing. so i got home and checked all of the wiring and they're all good. what could be wrong? how do i know if i blew the sub.
also, there is still power to the amp
most likely it is your amp. to figure out if the sub is working get a 9 volt battery and touch the pos. and neg. wires to it that connect directly to the sub. If you hear a light popping noise then your sub is still working and from my experience it should be fine. Check to see if your power amp has both a red and green light on it. Some amps have this so that if there is a problem the amp goes into a safe mode and lets you know by displaying the red light. If this light is on it could be multiple things inside the amp. More in depth testing would be needed.
