my torrent isnt stoping seeding,how to stop it?

ive finished downloading my game,been like 1hr ago,the game download took 8 hours,but the seeding has not finished till now.can i just stop seeding?or if i do that will that destroy the file?help pls ty

I agree with SimplyRED as if someone or some people wouldn't have shared (seeded), you would never get it through torrent trackers.
However, if data usage and/or browsing speed is an issue for you, you can lower the upload speed limit to 1 kb/s and/or decreasing its priority. Look for the option in your torrent client. Usually, you can do so by right-clicking on the concerned file.
I have another suggestion. While not surfing, if possible, please seed the file as others' download depend on it.
