My torrent speed goes from 200+kbs to below 5kbs in about 20 seconds help?

When I turn my utorrent on for the first 2 minutes its speed is over 200/kbs then after that it suddenly decreases down to below 5, I dont have any other internet using programmes open and it still drops, help please?

It may juts mean that there are not enough seeds so you don't get the maximum amount of speed available. This is the downside to torrents, you have to rely on others sharing the data you need.

It may also be filtering on your ISP (Internet Service Provider) level, blocking torrents as many providers seem to be doing to prevent lawsuits from the record and movie industry.
