ok, so i live in the south east, essex, and i have a small whalfdale tv its pretty new and it has freeview (digital) built in to it, i have a indoor aerial with it in my room, when i search the channels on my tv, most of the digital channels come up, apart from - Itv 1, and most of the other itv channels, channel 4 , more 4, and e4 + 1, and a few others,

is there any way where i can get all the channels, by buying a new aerial maybe ? any suggestions?

cheers

Yes the arial is the problen , and the only way to sort it is to either get a new arial for your telly or utilise the existing main house arial by adding a amplifier (or booster) .
If you go down the amplifier route you will need one that gives the number of outputs for the number of tv's u want to use , you wil have to consider where you are going to locate it a it will probabaly need a mains supply and then you will have to wire to each tv from it.
The other way is to put up an arial for ur tv dont even waste your time with the silly set top indoor arials ...complete crap unless you live next door almost to the transmitter.
if you have a loft why not stick up a digital arial up there and drop the cable thro your ceiling in your room .
I saw a cracking deal at my local bq for a digital arial complete with cable and fixing pole for £19.98 , the equivelant arial alone they sell for 34quid
it is the same arial you could use in ur attic or on your roof so it will do the job

Try repositioning your antenna. If you choose to replace your antenna, utdoor antennas have better reception.
